An excursion discovering one of the most unique cities in the world: Venice , an artistic centre of world fame, and cradle of priceless gothic treasures. Leaving in the morning from your accommodation in Florence after 2 and half hours driving to the north you'll arrive at the Piazzale Roma (car terminal) in Venezia and then moves along via public steam boat or private boat to the most beautiful "open air parlour" in Europe: Saint Mark's Square. Visit of the city (official tour guide on request), during which it is possible to admire the Basilica of Saint Mark, with its marvellous mosaics and countless other works of art; the entertaining Clock Tower , the exterior of the Ducal Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and other important places through tiny 'calli', typically narrow Venetian lanes. You will also obviously have the possibility to take a romantic "gondola ride" around the canals and be serenaded under the most famous bridges in the world (just like the singer Madonna in her music video, Like a Virgin ) or buy the famous Venetian glass. Food lovers can devour a delicious Venetian lunch in one of the many restaurants on the mainland.  Return to Florence late in the evening.
